WHO ARE WE?
We are a committee of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (YPAAs) throughout the State of Michigan.
We have adopted AA's primary purpose of staying sober and helping other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
We fit ourselves to be of maximum service to God and to our fellows, aiming to reach other YPAAs and to generate awareness among them of our vibrant and growing fellowship of young, sober alcoholics.
The committee facilitates and supports group events and projects in the community to foster unity and excitement, all while placing our bid to bring the International Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (ICYPAA) to Michigan. We adhere to AA's Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of World Service in all of our activities. Reach out to us on social media or send us an email to get involved!

ICYPAA is a weekend-long celebration of recovery for thousands of YPAAs (remember that's "Young People in AA") held annually at a different fancy city around the globe. This year it's in Austin, Texas the weekend of 4th of July! So we party... sorry, partake in service projects throughout the year, throw some kick-ass events, and document our entire journey throughout the year about how we did it.
Finally, we roll deep into the Lone Star State for the 64th ICYPAA and present our bid package in hopes of being awarded the opportunity to bring ICYPAA back with us to Michigan! To pull this off, we need all the help we can get! We don't care if you've never been on a bid committee for, or if you've done it a million times! It doesn't matter if you are able to come with us to Texas or not. We need all hands on deck and all boots on the ground both locally and nationally, so there's unlimited ways to be of service to our beloved state. If you have any questions, please let us know!
